Baby Anaya

5-year old patient baby Anaya from Zilla Rajanpur, Punjab was suffering from a kidney infection since birth. As she started growing up she complained of having pain on the right side of the pelvic. Her parents took her to a hospital in Punjab as her eyes got swelled and she was suffering from fever for many days. When her tests were done, the doctor said that she may have a blood infection and she should visit The Kidney Centre in Karachi. Her parents brought her to The Kidney Centre. Her swelling had increased and she was suffering from blood and protein deficient too. The consultants at TKC after observing the condition of Anaya decided that the patient needs Biopsy urgently so that they could diagnose a suspected kidney problem for kidney disease. In this way, the patient will be provided treatment according to her needs. The patient’s biopsy was done and she had to undergo surgery to treat the condition. She is on road to recovery and she loves to study and wants to go to school healthy and happy.

Fariyad

3-year-old Faryad is a patient of The Kidney Centre. His father is a fisherman and comes from Hawksbay for his child’s treatment. The patient is suffering from a life-threatening kidney failure by birth. Due to lack of resources, he was unable to get proper treatment due to which his health conditions got worse. A social worker of their area advised them to visit The Kidney Centre where he get help and support in medical treatment. The Child was brought to TKC by his parents where he is getting the required treatment as well as welfare support. Faryad is getting better and regularly comes to TKC for follow up visits to his doctor Children like Faryad need your generous support and donations for their treatment.

Faheem Mir Afzal Khan

Faheem Mir Afzal Khan is 24 years old and has been coming to The Kidney Centre since 2 years for dialysis. At his job as an office boy, Faheem suddenly suffered severe stomach and kidney pain. He was rushed to the Emergency at a nearby hospital and was admitted to the ICU because his blood pressure wasn’t stable. Doctors recommended Faheem be shifted to The Kidney Centre. On admission to TKC, it was recommended that dialysis be started as soon as possible otherwise both Faheem’s kidneys will suffer damage. Faheem is a deserving dialysis patient in need and cannot afford his medical expenses. He is the main earner in his family, and one elder brother is supporting him in his treatments. In this trying situation, TKC provided welfare support to Faheem – today, Faheem works at his job while also coming in for his treatments.

Badar Muhammad Khan

41-year old Badar Muhammad Khan is a dialysis patient, visiting The Kidney Centre since the past 8 years. He lives with his brother who supports him in all his living expenses, but all medical expenses are borne by Badar – however he is no longer able to earn because of his health. Badar is a taxi driver and earns daily wages only when his health allows him to do so. He is greatly in need of your generous support for his medical treatment - dialysis is a lifetime process for the patient. Patients like M. Badar need your Zakat and donations for their treatment.

KAS BANO

Life is a unique puzzle - sometimes a little help gives a glimmer of hope, making things bearable for those in pain. The same is the case of patient Kas Bano; she travels to TKC for dialysis thrice a week from a very distant area in Balochistan. 36 years old and very brave, Kas Bano makes a 5-hour journey via public transport to reach TKC, where she then undergoes dialysis, all to better her health. Every journey costs Rs. 500 to reach The Kidney Centre and make it back home. Kas Bano is a mother to six children. Her husband is a peon and earns Rs. 22,000, and one of her sons is a labourer who earns Rs. 500 per day. In Balochistan, there is no proper dialysis treatment available, which compels Kas Bano to travel such long distances thrice a week. She has made exceptionally good progress. Dialysis is a lifelong and expensive treatment, and patients such as Kas Bano are in need of your Zakat and donations to support their treatment.

Master Mujahid

Master Mujahid, a 2year old patient from Memon Malir Goth visited a hospital in his neighbourhood he was in severe kidney pain. He was in dire need of welfare support due to his weak financial conditions, one of his relatives recommended his family to visit The Kidney Centre where he could get welfare support to support for his treatment. After knowing about The Kidney Centre, his family brought him to the hospital where he got the initial and basic treatment. The patient’s father is a Gardner by profession, he earns Rs.1800 only and he is solely responsible for meeting his family expenditure. Due to his current financial situation, The Kidney Centre’s welfare department provided all possible financial assistance to Master Mujahid for his medical treatment. He got admitted to TKC with severe kidney pain, he was examined by our doctors who took care of him. He is feeling much better and his father is also relaxed and thankful to The Kidney Centre for supporting his son’s medical expenditures.

Shehla

Shehla, a 12-year-old patient from Zilla Dera Bugti. Her father was a laborer but got disabled after a tragic accident. Baby Shehla is an inborn kidney patient. She visited JSMU when she was not recovering from fever and kidney pain. She was diagnosed with a small kidney stone which was causing other kidney complications. She is the youngest sister of three brothers. One of her brother is a laborer and the other two are idle. Due to lack of resources, Shehla was unable to get proper treatment. She got admitted to The Kidney Centre as her condition was getting worst, her BP was not getting normal and her hemoglobin was also very low. She was admitted for three days at The Kidney Centre. She is a very brave girl and doesn’t fear injections, she wants to become a pilot. She is on the road to recovery and her brothers are also supporting her in her fast recovery The Kidney Centre wants your generous support and donations to support the treatment of patients who cannot afford the cost of their treatment.

Ms. Bilqees Bano

A 67-year-old patient Ms. Bilqees Bano was rushed to the emergency as she was facing sepsis, a life-threatening medical emergency where her body infection was spreading fast. In this situation, it was important to seek immediate medical attention her BP was high and her heart rate was higher than 90 beats per minute, she was admitted to ICU for three consecutive days. After BP and heart rate was normal, she was shifted to the ward and was under observation Ms. Bilqees Bano is a widow and a mother of three sons. One of her sons is also a TB patient and two of them work and earn about 28000 to run their family. They look after their mother and brother’s treatment. In this situation, it was very difficult for them to manage the expense of their mother's treatment. The Kidney Centre supported her treatment through welfare funds. Muhammad Rahim

What began with a complaint of swollen legs led to a diagnosis of kidney failure. Muhammad Rahim came to TKC’s Filter Clinic for treatment, where he was later diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and placed on dialysis. He earlier worked as a security guard, but after being on dialysis, his health does not allow him to work such demanding hours - he now drives a rickshaw on daily wage basis and is earning a meagre PKR 200 - 300 on a daily basis to survive. Muhammad Rahim lives in a rented home in Korangi with his wife and a 7-year old son. Please donate generously to support Rahim’s treatment.

Naila Saleem

Rushed to TKC’s Emergency Room, 39-year old Naila’s high blood sugar levels led to kidney failure. Today, she is on dialysis since four years. Married and a mother of a 14-year old, Naila is all alone in her struggles - financial stress and marital strife have turned her world upside down. Her husband has abandoned her, her grade - 5 going son has had to leave his education, and her brother’s family will no longer keep her. Naila lives alone with her son in a rented Orangi Town home, with no income and little support, and needs help to survive.
