Rushed to TKC’s Emergency Room, 39-year old Naila’s high blood sugar levels led to kidney failure. Today, she is on dialysis since four years. Married and a mother of a 14-year old, Naila is all alone in her struggles – financial stress and marital strife have turned her world upside down. Her husband has abandoned her, her grade – 5 going son has had to leave his education, and her brother’s family will no longer keep her. Naila lives alone with her son in a rented Orangi Town home, with no income and little support, and needs help to survive.
