A 67-year-old patient Ms. Bilqees Bano was rushed to the emergency as she was facing sepsis, a life-threatening medical emergency where her body infection was spreading fast. In this situation, it was important to seek immediate medical attention her BP was high and her heart rate was higher than 90 beats per minute, she was admitted to ICU for three consecutive days. After BP and heart rate was normal, she was shifted to the ward and was under observation
Ms. Bilqees Bano is a widow and a mother of three sons. One of her sons is also a TB patient and two of them work and earn about 28000 to run their family. They look after their mother and brother’s treatment. In this situation, it was very difficult for them to manage the expense of their mother’s treatment. The Kidney Centre supported her treatment through welfare funds.
