Unbearable pain and vomiting brought Umer Farooq to The Kidney Centre with kidney failure in 2017. His condition prompted concerned doctors at his neighborhood hospital to send him in for a c heck-up, w here he was receiving treatment for kidney stones.
At just 29, Umer has faced many challenges in life – he contracted polio as a child, currently undergoes dialysis thrice a week, and is the sole breadwinner for his family. On his meager salary as clerk, he supports his mother, wife, three daughters and two unmarried sisters – all living in Macchar Colony. Yet, Umer is hopeful and feels his treatment at TKC has given him a new lease on life. Help us in caring for Umer and others like him.
