What began with a complaint of swollen legs led to a diagnosis of kidney failure. Muhammad Rahim came to TKC’s Filter Clinic for treatment, where he was later diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and placed on dialysis. He earlier worked as a security guard, but after being on dialysis, his health does not allow him to work such demanding hours – he now drives a rickshaw on daily wage basis and is earning a meagre PKR 200 – 300 on a daily basis to survive. Muhammad Rahim lives in a rented home in Korangi with his wife and a 7-year old son.
