A leading tertiary care hospital invites applications from qualified, motivated, and dedicated doctors for the position of Registrar – Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Qualification & Eligibility
- MBBS degree with valid PMDC registration.
- FCPS training in Medicine or Nephrology.
- FCPS-qualified candidates will be preferred.
- Previous experience in ICU/Critical Care Medicine will be an advantage.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to perform rotational and night duties.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity and multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and management of critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitoring and management of ventilated, unstable, and high-risk patients.
- Participation in daily ICU rounds and multidisciplinary discussions.
- Assisting consultants with ICU procedures and other critical care interventions.
- Early recognition and appropriate management of clinical deterioration.
- Coordination of patient care with consultants, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation and patient records.
- Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, ICU protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
- Effective communication with patients’ attendants and providing appropriate updates under consultant supervision.
- Participating in emergency management and responding appropriately to acute clinical situations.
- Supporting continuity and quality of care during rotational and night duties.
