Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure hospital cleanliness and hygiene.
- Oversee cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, operating rooms, and other critical areas in compliance with infection control standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure they meet hospital cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Monitor and manage housekeeping schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning products, and safety procedures.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring timely ordering and proper storage.
- Address and resolve staff performance issues and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and infection control guidelines.
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department for timely resolution.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests or patient room turnovers.
Job Requirements:
- Required minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the healthcare hospital environment.
- Candidate must be a Graduate from a reputable institution, additional training in hospital sanitation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control and sanitation protocols in healthcare settings.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- The candidate should have good communication and computer skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stress and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and cleaning product safety data sheets (SDS).
