Shahida Sultana

Shahida Sultana is a 64-year-old kidney patient who came to TKC for her treatment. She was suffering from urinary incontinence and required surgical procedures for treating her condition. She is living alone in her late husband’s home. At this age in life, one of her son got married and left her alone without providing any support. She is a self-earning woman who sells chips from home to meet day-to-day expenses. Since she is unable to afford the cost of treatment for the patient. The welfare department is supporting her through the welfare fund. Patient such as Shahida needs your generous support to get treated so that she could experience a better quality of life.

Naimatullah

With swollen abdomen and detention, Master Naimatullah came to TKC for his sepsis treatment. He is a welfare patient for 2 years and comes from Balochistan traveling of 10 hr (586.4 km). Recently, his condition gets worse and the family had to rush him to TKC during the heavy flooding. The rescue team helped the m reach the hospital. The patient got the necessary surgical procedure and was discharged after three days. Mehtab

A two-year child, Mehtab, came to The Kidney Centre (TKC). He is a chronic kidney disease patient. He lives with his parents and grandmother along with his sister in a rented house in destitute area of Bazarta line, Saddar, Karachi. Mehtab’s father works on a fuel station (petrol Pump) on daily wages whose monthly earnings are approximately Rs. 18,000. Its burdensome for him to fulfill his family’s basic needs. In this condition, he is incapable of bearing the treatment of his son, but he came to TKC with a hope in his eyes. TKC began Mehtab’s treatment immediately from its Patient Welfare Department and provided the best consultants. He went through Hypospadias procedures due to renal artery reconstruction to protect the patient from chronic kidney failure. His parents want to see him smiling again like other children. Sikander

A 2-year old patient from Baluchistan has a single kidney by birth. He is not alike other children of his age. Only his parents can feel the real pain of their youngest son who are struggling to provide quality care to their son. Sikander was taken to a hospital where his parents were informed that he had kidney stones and infection. But they were unable to afford the expensive treatment and were forced to take their child back to home. Sikander was having trouble passing urine for which he went through a surgery. When Sikander’s health started improving, he was shifted to the ward where he was treated with extra care. Sikander is being treated free of cost at TKC because his parents could not afford the treatment. There is not any noble cause other than saving lives of deserving people and brining smiles on their loved ones. We need your support to help save precious lives.

Pooja Krishnan

Pooja Krishnan, a 13 year old girl from Dadu is fighting with the kidney disease is getting treated at The Kidney Centre for past one year. Due to unavailability of kidney treatment facility, she travels approx. 350 kilometers from her village in Dadu to Karachi with her father. This travel of 8 hours costs her Rs. 6000 per visit per month. Her father is the only bread earner of the family who works on daily wages and earns Rs. 400 to 600 per day. He is unable to bear Pooja’s treatment expenses. She needs your generous support. We can save lives of deserving people only when we stand and work together. Ghulam Mustafa

Ghulam Mustafa is a 6-year-old special child. The patient with his father came to The Kidney Centre for his kidney treatment as the patient was having severe kidney pain. The patient’s father wanted welfare support because he is jobless and cannot afford his treatment. Mustafa’s mother died and one of his sisters is in an orphanage house because his father cannot take care of all the children and cannot bear their living expenses. The patient is living with his father in a rented house whose 2-month rent is also not paid due to his father unemployment. After getting all the information from him, welfare decided to support the patient and provide him with the best treatment at The Kidney Centre. Baby Maida

Baby Maida, a 10month old patient from Dadu is the youngest daughter of her parents. Baby Maida was born with one kidney. Her parents got to know about her disease because the baby used to cry every time she urinated. They took her to their nearest hospital in Dadu and got an ultrasound done. Doctors recommended they go for treatment in Hyderabad or Karachi. They came to Hyderabad for her treatment but doctors were unable to treat her and again referred her to a local hospital where they admitted the baby for one month. Parents observed that baby was not getting better and informed the parents that her only kidney is also swollen which is developing complications. So the parents came to The Kidney Centre so that they could get better treatment for their baby. The Paediatric Urologist at The Kidney Centre examined the baby, they diagnosed her with a uterine reflux, a condition in which urine from the bladder is able to flow back up into the kidneys through the tubes that connect the kidneys with the bladder. This patient was admitted and surgery was performed to fix the problem. Maida’s parents were very thankful to The Kidney Centre for helping and giving their baby the best treatment because now baby Maida is living a normal and pain-free life.

Master Uzair

Patient Master Uzair from Sultanabad is a 12-year-old young boy who was admitted to the General ward. He was suffering from kidney stones. He was admitted under the consultation of one of the best Paediatric Nephrologist of The Kidney Centre under conservative treatment because he had a chest infection for the past one once he recovered from the chest infection, the patient went through PCNL treatment for treating Kidney Stones. For his treatment, we need your generous support because the patient’s treatment is supported by his elder brother who is the bread earner of the house and earns by selling vegetables and fruits in a fruit market. Master Ammar

3 years old boy named Master Ammar visits TKCI 2 years back along with his mother Mrs. Ayesha Bibi in an emergency because he was in pain. His treatment got started and some laboratory tests were also done to identify the kidney issue. later doctor diagnosed kidney stones in his kidney. For his treatment, doctors shifted him from the emergency to the ward because his PCNL and URS simple were planned. The patient got treated and discharged in 4 days. Now patient used to come to The TKC for his follow-ups from the Consultant. The patient needs your support because his family conditions are not good because his father is a drug addict and now he has become so much unconscious that he doesn't recognize his children nor he visits them. Mrs. Ayesha Bibi is solely responsible for taking care of his 6 kids including Master Ammar. She does stitching and lives at her mother's home.
